I’m trying to become one. So far, it’s a tough sell for me. I can’t get into the flow of the dialogue of the beat scene. “Gone chicks, etc. Fantastic descriptions though. ~ Michael
I definitely think he has better ones out there. Maybe try ‘Dharma Bums’ or his ‘Book of Sketches’ if you’re into poetry and backpacking/the outdoors.
Thank you for the recommendations. I know I have to explore his writing more because it has some compelling elements that I would like to learn from. I think it’s just a generational thing. I can’t find a flow to a lot of the story, it’s chaotic and frenzied, awkward to read. Appreciate you 🙂 ~ Michael
I can understand that, it’s not for everyone! Not a problem.
Works by Arthur Conan Doyle and Mark Twain at the moment. There is much wisdom in their works, and an intriguing understanding of human psychology and lust for adventure 🙂
the way of kings by brandon sanderson
On The Road by Jack Kerouac
One of my favorites! I’m definitely a Kerouac fan 🙂
